The fastest path to an accurate PET packaging quote is a complete RFQ. The more of the spec you fix up front, the fewer back-and-forth emails — and the closer the first price is to the final one.
The RFQ checklist
A complete preform or closure RFQ answers all of these:
| Application | Water · CSD · juice/dairy · edible oil · 5-gallon |
| Bottle volume | e.g. 600 ml, 1.5 L |
| Neck finish | 29/25 · PCO 1881 · 32/15 · 48 mm… (or let the supplier recommend) |
| Gram weight | Known weight, or your bottle drawing to right-weight it |
| Annual quantity | Units/year — drives tooling and price |
| Colour | Clear, or masterbatch reference |
| Packing | Bulk box / octabin / pallet preference |
| Destination + port | Country and discharge port |
| Incoterm | EXW · FOB · CFR · CIF |
| Timeline + documents | Target date; any certs/CoA/CoC needed |
Don’t know every field?
You don’t need all of it. Pick the SKU in the Product Finder (application → volume → neck) and it carries the spec into the RFQ; or attach your bottle drawing and let the team right-weight it — see the 6 specs to read off a bottle drawing. Confirm Incoterm terms in the FOB / CFR / CIF guide, and check lead time & MOQ before you send.
Submit it cleanly
Build an audit-ready RFQ in about a minute in the Smart RFQ Builder — it pre-fills your saved details, lets you attach a drawing, and produces a downloadable summary plus a WhatsApp handoff for the sales team.
