Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-23 · This statement is reviewed at least annually.
Our commitment
Delta El Nile for Industry is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including users with disabilities. We design and build with the WCAG 2.2 AA conformance criteria as our target standard, and the European Standard EN 301 549 for procurement teams that require it.
Conformance status
Target: WCAG 2.2 AA + EN 301 549
Current state: Partial conformance — internal pre-audit complete (v232.88). External third-party audit pending.
Scope of this statement
This accessibility statement applies to www.deltaelnile.com in all three supported languages (English, Arabic, French) across the following page templates:
- Home page
- 5 sector landing pages (water, CSD, juice, dairy, edible oil)
- 10 AI tools (defect lookup, advisor, preform engineering, carbon calculator, bottle advisor, compare)
- Resources hub, RFQ form, contact page, about page, case study pages
- Closure and preform product detail pages
Total: ~15 page templates × 3 languages × responsive mobile + desktop.
Measures we have taken
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy (single H1 per page, no skipped levels)
- Landmark regions:
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav aria-label> - Skip-to-main-content link on every page
- Touch target sizing: 24×24px minimum for all interactive elements (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8); 44×44px for primary actions
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Keyboard navigation supported throughout; visible focus indicators using brand sand color
- Right-to-left (RTL) language support for Arabic, including focus order, mirrored layouts, and Arabic typography
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion— all animations disabled when this is set - Form labels associated with inputs; ARIA labels on icon-only controls
- Automated WCAG 2.2 AA pre-audit run before each release (v232.88+)
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, the following areas have known accessibility gaps that we are working to address:
- AI Product Advisor screen-reader flow: The chat interaction pattern has not been validated end-to-end with NVDA + Arabic voice or JAWS + French voice. Validation is on the next-quarter remediation plan.
- Defect lookup search results: Live filter results announce via
aria-live="polite", but the announcement verbosity hasn't been tuned with disabled-user feedback. - PDF documents: The 3 downloadable diagnostic manuals (closure, preform, bottle) are not yet tagged for accessibility. Tagged PDF generation is on the v232.90+ roadmap.
- External embedded content: The Calendly booking widget (when activated) is a third-party iframe whose accessibility we don't control. Users who cannot use Calendly can email salesteam@deltaelnile.com directly.

Assessment approach
This site uses a combination of automated and manual accessibility testing:
- Automated: Custom WCAG 2.2 AA scanner runs against 12 representative pages × 2 viewports before each release. Catches contrast, touch target, missing labels, heading hierarchy, landmark issues. Stored in
docs/wcag-pre-audit-v232.88.json. - Manual: Keyboard-only navigation walkthrough on key flows (RFQ, contact, AI advisor, defect lookup) before each release.
- Planned: Annual third-party WCAG 2.2 AA audit with VPAT 2.5 reporting, including user testing with assistive-tech users.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this site depends on the following technologies working with your browser and assistive technology:
- HTML5
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript (graceful degradation: site usable without JS for read-only browsing)
Enforcement procedures
If you contact us about an accessibility issue and aren't satisfied with our response, you can escalate to relevant national or regional bodies (such as the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity for accessibility complaints involving Egyptian organizations, or your local equivalent for users elsewhere). We will cooperate with any such investigation.
