rPET packaging. Validated up to 100%.
Case studyHow we engineered 668.5 g Co-PET returnable at scaleDelta El Nile for Industry produces preforms with recycled PET (rPET) blends specified to each customer's program — food-contact-validated, with no fixed default ratio and up to 100% rPET in custom applications. The 668.5g Co-PET preform for 5-gallon returnable water bottles is a flagship circular-economy reference, validated for 25+ refill cycles. ISO 14001:2015 certified.
Three reasons buyers choose us.
Food-contact rPET, validated end-to-end
Food-contact rPET requires multiple layers of validation: resin source certification, decontamination process verification, migration testing under storage conditions, and sensory analysis. Delta sources from approved rPET suppliers and runs the full validation matrix in our in-house lab plus third-party verification.
Closed-loop returnable: 668.5g Co-PET at scale
Co-engineered with a regional water customer for their 5-gallon returnable bottle program. The 668.5g Co-PET preform balances structural rigidity (for 25+ refill cycles) with food-grade contact properties. Currently produced at meaningful annual volume — the largest closed-loop water reference in the region.
ESG-aligned with current procurement requirements
ISO 14001:2015 certified for environmental management. EcoVadis sustainability rating. SEDEX active member. Together these signal Delta is a credible supplier for ESG-evaluated procurement processes — increasingly required by EU buyers, UK retailers, and major global FMCG brands.
Common questions.
What rPET blend percentages can you produce reliably?
30%, 50%, 70%, and 100% rPET blends are all in our validated portfolio for at least one customer application. Some applications (CSD high-pressure, aseptic juice) work better at lower rPET ratios; some (water 29/25, returnable Co-PET) tolerate higher ratios. The right blend depends on the application's pressure, fill temperature, and shelf-life requirements.
How does rPET pricing compare to virgin PET?
Food-contact rPET is typically priced at a premium over virgin PET due to the additional decontamination and validation steps. The premium varies with regional supply and feedstock cleanliness. Many of our customers absorb this premium for sustainability commitments or pass it through transparently to their downstream customers.
Do you support customer-specific rPET sourcing requirements?
Yes. Some customers require rPET from specific feedstock sources (e.g., bottle-to-bottle, deposit-return-scheme inputs only, or in-country recycled). We work with our resin partners to qualify approved alternative sources subject to the same validation matrix. Lead time for a new resin qualification: 8-12 weeks.
